About

In 1999 I started my 3D generalist career at a company called Superdudes, the original online community – enabling users to create online identity, profile, friends lists, and play online games, to earn a chance at crowd-voted fame, and get printed in a deck of trading cards.

In 2001 I left Superdudes and was hired by LiDARvfx where my 3d Scanning career was born. Over my time at LiDARvfx, I lead the team that traveled the world 3D scanning Environments, Sets, Vehicles, and Props for over 30 films Utilizing LiDAR, White Light, and CMM 3D Scanning technologies.

After leaving LiDARvfx in Late 2006, I started my own 3D scanning company “Scanmatter” providing 3D scanning and Reverse Engineering services ranging from entertainment to engineering with clients including Microsoft, Oculus, SnapOn, Brooks, Mercedes-Benz, Airbus, and Moving Pixels. These experiences led to be the Entertainment Director at Mimic Studios and Head of 3D at Airlift.

As of recent, I’ve been working on a personal project “ReconXR”- VR / AR rapid visualizations and training apps utilizing 3D point cloud data from terrestrial 3d scanners combined with aerial drone photogrammetry in the UE4 engine for the mining industry.
